I'm Phil Goldman — a data engineer building data platforms on Databricks and Azure, with a growing focus on AI-augmented development using Claude Code.

Day to day I work on data ingestion, transformation, and quality across Databricks + Delta Lake, with adjacent work in Hightouch, Azure, and event pipelines. I write here about the patterns that survive contact with production, the agents and tools that have actually changed how I work, and the occasional thing I wish someone had written for me a year earlier.
